Raynes Park Target Football Club [formerly known as Target Sports FC] was founded in 2009 by Gary Lawless & Michael Branch (Director of Target Sports Coaching Ltd) [TSC] who saw the need to offer the children we were coaching at our football courses throughout the week,  an opportunity to play regularly in a more competitive environment. They also saw that with the high standard of coaching TSC offered, there was a greater chance of establishing a successful Junior Football Club for the local community.

Within the first year a Committee of parents was set up to administer the running of Raynes Park Target Football Club (RPTFC). The conduct of the players, volunteer referees, parents and coaches, coupled with a good reference from the Surrey Youth League, meant that the Club was rewarded by attaining the FA's Charter Standard Award within the first year. 

In addition, the existing qualified coaches from TSC dedicated their time and coaching skills to provide the training sessions as well as, Gary Lawless becoming Manager of the Under 9's team. This combined effort led the Club to become a huge success and soon realised Gary & Michael's dream by sucessfully winning the Surrey Youth League 2nd Division & Invitation Cup.

In 2010, the inception of 3 additional teams, namely a second Under 10's, an Under 8's & an Under 7's, were realised. Now in 2011 RPTFC are proud to have 6 teams all playing in the Surrey youth Leagues.

RPTFC continue to select children developed by us at TSC, to enable the standard of players & coaching to remain high. Although the boys for these teams come predominantly through our ranks; it is not a requirement.

Training for the Football Club is limited to a one hour session on Thursday evenings, and therefore RPTFC will always encourage boys to take full advantage of our additional football development, by enrolling in any of our Mon - Sat football courses. 

RPTFC is a 'non-profit' organisation which relies heavily on the kind donations from its sponsors to further the facilities that can be offered to the teams.

RPTFC has been very fortunate to have received sponsorship from Gartmore Plc and Urang Group as well as receiving a 'Grow the Game' grant from The Football Association.

The Club hopes to progress by adding new teams each year with a possibility of a girl's team and a disability team.
